It runs at 35 ppm with a 5.5-second first copy, between the 4825 at 25 ppm and the 4845 at 45 ppm.
Against the newer DX 4935, which matches it at 35 ppm, the 4835 includes Wireless LAN as standard where the 4935 treats it as an option, and uses C-EXV 62 toner at about 42,000 pages against NPG-89 at about 44,500. The 4935 supports up to four fax lines; the 4835 supports one. Unless you need multiple fax lines or want the newest generation across a fleet, the 4835 is the more economical route to the same speed.
A note on configuration: the document feeder and the Super G3 fax board are options on this series, not fitted items. We normally quote it with the Single Pass DADF-C1, which holds 200 sheets and scans up to 270 images per minute in duplex.
